Loosestrife

Lysimachia punctata Golden Alexander   I did not realize this was a loostrife until after I brought it home. Purple loosestrife is an obnoxious weed that takes over wetlands, though pretty, plays havoc on wild biodiversity. If I plant this, I'll have to keep a close eye on it and dead head it to keep any reseeding from happening. The leaves are very attractive and the plant will have bright yellow flowers and should be attractive to butterflies. There is a patent so I can't share this plant when it spreads.

This plant seems to have an aphid issue....

now planted in the garden...keeping this one in pots was too dry for it so the plant suffered.
